On September 30, 2022, Charles Owens Quartet will release Something Big — the third single from their LP “Golden Moments,” due out this fall.

Owens and his quartet breathe new life into this Burt Bacharach deep cut. Something Big is quintessential work from the saxophonist: a classic piece of Americana, updated with his group’s signature blend of passion and joyousness. Drummer Brian Caputo brings a fresh, uptempo feel, and Owens’ soloing is as genuine and heartfelt as ever. With this recording, the saxophonist and his band invite listeners of all ages to discover — or perhaps rediscover — Something Big. It’s part of the quartet’s ongoing mission to expand the American songbook, and widen the umbrella of jazz.
